3 stars Another strange Ange compilation work. Of course, there won't any long numbers here. "Caricatures" has been reduced to a mere three minutes. It was already the case in a previous complilation ("Vagabondages"). "Hymne À La Vie" will be submitted to the same treatment which is a bit a pity. Anyway...

Most of their disastrous production of the eighties are skipped (hopefully). Only "La Gare De Troyes" to represent this difficult period. Even if several numbers don't belong to their greatest period (72 through 79), they are not bad either. Still, the order of the songs is quite confusing and actually I don't see any logic in the track selection.

I wonder who was responsible for the track selection (but this is ageneral comment about compilations). The least that I can say, is that he was not really well inspired.

Three stars only for the very good old tracks like from "Ces Gens-Là" to "Ode Émile", as well as "Si J'Étais Le Messie" of course. Probably one of the most sulfurous Ange song (you can details about its lyrics in my full review for "Au Delà Du Délire" if you are interested.
