3 stars I must admit I buy music blindly if the lineup of musicians involved gets me excited. I get why so many of those old school jazz albums had the lineup in bold on the front cover. It's traditional jazz so it all sounds the same, the jazz fan just wants to know who's playing on it(kidding). So seeing Larry Coryell and Michel Urbaniak putting out an album together was a no-brainer really as far as picking it up.

Coryell needs no introduction but Urbaniak from Poland was a child prodigy with the violin and has put out some incredible Jazz/Fusion albums between 1971 and 1974. Oh this is 1983 that the "Facts Of Life" was released? Ten years on and Larry is playing his acoustic guitar and Michel just seems to be going with the flow. I was so disappointed with this, especially the acoustic guitar. Now these two, to be fair, played on a few albums together during the early eighties so maybe they were looking for a specific sound here. As in not heavy.

The WEATHER REPORT rhythm section is on here! Okay again this is 1983 so they released their "Procession" album that year and Victor Bailey is our bassist and Omar Hakim the drummer. The only track that did anything for me was the closer "Kasia" because at least we get some energy and depth here, and it's the closest song to a Fusion track. 3 stars is all I got.
