3 stars An interesting debut completely acoustic, with traditional instruments, but don't expect Irish ballads or anything Celtic. The album is structured as a vinyl release, with 8 short tracks, likely an "A side", followed by a 17 minutes epic.

The mood is slow, dreamy, closer to post rock than to folk. In general it's dark and melancholic, with the exception of Shanaglish Cemetery wich makes Ant Phillips Private Parts and Pieces pop up in my mind.

The suite is very dark and, I'd say, experimental. There is a banjo which sounds like Thinguma Jigsaw, band that was signed with the same label. Identifying the other instruments is not an easy task. I think there's a trumpet, there may even be a dulcimer.

Understanding where the long track is going is not easy. It sounds improvised, like the artists are just trying to maintain the same dark atmosphere throughout this unstructured track, but it's not too bad as they succeed in this task, unfortunately it's the only thing that I can catch: dark ambient music.

It gets three stars for the shorter tracks.
