"Finnegans Wake", based on the famous book by James Joyce, is the 3rd release of the "Poems Series". The style remains the same.

"The Sensational Fall Of The Master Builder" and "Finnegans Excessive Wake" open the album with a captivating, dark, mysterious atmosphere. The best moments of the record. "Resurrection By The Spirit" is simply a modern, nice, reinterpretation of "Ricochet Part 2". The result is good, but the idea not very original.

Then the following tracks become inequal. "Mother Of All Sources" and "Three Quarks For Muster Mark" are soft, but flat and long pieces. On the contrary, "The Warring Forces Of The Twins" is energetic, and surpringly sounds like late 80's TD material. "Everling's Mythical Letter" has some nice floyd-ish guitar, but the entire composition sounds uninspired and too lengthy. The result is much more convincing on the final track, "Hermaphrodite".

Overall, this record presents innovative atmospheres and has its few moments. Unfortunately, they are interlaced with less interesting lengthy passages that should have been shortened. Nevertheless, one of the most interesting release of the "Eastgate years". Recommended only if you're a fan of this period.
