Doc's Ferment biography
A Cleveland-oriented combo DOC'S FERMENT were founded firstly as a trio by BELLINO Brothers - Jason (guitars) and Justin (drums) - and their lifelong friend Kris IMBRIGOTTA (bass) in the summer of 1992 for pursuing original music development inspired by 70s progressive rock movement. After a few year hibernation, they revived in 2002 (just after graduation of their high school) as a quartet featuring BELLINO Bros., Etahn REDDING (bass), and Bert BALAGOT (synthesizers, keyboards), and had been active until disbandment in 2006 to play heavy rock, metal, classical or synthesized pop.

In the autumn of 2016, they re-reformed again, as a duo by BELLINOs, and recorded material in their own home studio for the debut opus titled "Doc's Ferment Volume I" released in November 2019.

Review by Kjarks

5 stars I discovered this disc by chance while surfing on bandcamp. I was immedialtly attracted and fascinated. The creativity of these two mult instrumentalist musicians gives rise to long and complex instrumental journeys through changing musical landscapes that can recall both King Crimson or the symphonism of Journey, all fueled with the power of Dream Theater.

The originality of this music can also make you think of Regal Worm at times but with more fullness and development.

I regret that these talented musicians seem unknown, even among the prog lovers of this site. I recommend everyone to listen to this great music full of inspiration and energy. It's really a masterpiece in my opinion and most listeners should enjoy it.

Now, I just hope they will offer us a volume II !
