Critical Point biography
Founded in 2010, the Progressive Metal band CRITICAL POINT was brought into existence by twins Daniel (keyboards) and Tomas (guitar) OLIVARES supported by their friends Fernando NAVARRETE (bass), Raul GOMEZ (drums) and Jean CHARRO (guitar).

It wasn't until 9 years later that the band would finally be ready to release their first single with their debut album following a year later in June, 2020. The line-up still remains the same minus CHARRO. The band was joined by David JUAREZ on vocals for the debut album.

The band mixes the best of who they consider their influences: DREAM THEATER, OPETH, ANDROMEDA, PORCUPINE TREE, SYMPHONY X, CIRCUS MAXIMUS, TOOL, Steven WILSON, and others.

5 stars I really enjoyed this album. I saw this band at a few music fests in their home town and other near cities in Mexico back in the days (2010's) when we attended the same university and they really showed a ton of energy on their live performances. As for this record, it is well recorded while keeping an organic feel. In my opinion, it is well balanced and is not hard to listen to in a single sitting. My personal favs are Triste Regresión and El Punto Crítico. They changed vocalist and I think it's a good choice. Great work by these guys!
Thanks to tcat for the artist addition.
