Blueprint Human Being biography
BLUEPRINT HUMAN BEING were a short-lived extreme progressive metal quartet from Tampere, Finland. They began in 2000 as Devilish Decibels before changing their name and style in 2002, ultimately only releasing three demos before going on indefinite hiatus in 2005. Prior to their break, their most recent lineup consisted of Erno TAIPALE and Matti MINKKINEN on guitars, Marko SYVÄNEN on drums and bassist Sami HARJU on vocals. Their earliest material was an angular and experimental black metal similar to Ved Buens Ende. Their second demo, "Heaven Is All", would get an 'official' release on the Paradigms Recordings label in 2006. The album saw the band undergoing another stylistic shift, with more pronounced RIO and avant-prog influences.

4 stars Another great obscure gem from Finland. A Tampere-based short-lived project BLUEPRINT HUMAN BEING have been disbanded after providing some "demo" opuses. One of their demos entitled "Heaven Is All" was 'officially' released in 2006 via a London-oriented independent label Paradigms Recordings. Such a weird sleeve pic kicks me out completely, and just when I listened to the album, I got much more shocked and impressed with their unique creation than ballistic missiles from somewhere. They got started as a Tech / Extreme / Doom-Metal uniti in early 2000s but through this album they produced drastic, crazy, dissected avant-garde artisticism seasoned with metallic spice and psychedelic flavour. This production was launched as a limited edition of 750 copies. What a shame we cannot purchase it so easily, and what a happiness I've got it with my challenging spirit.

We can hear lots of 'tricks' in this album like a shrewd, crafty jack-in-the-box. The initial shot "Vojaganto" already has various picky elements of theirs ... from the beginning psychic, slowtempo quietness with monotonous melodic lines and complicated rhythmic bases. Repetitive phrases are comfortable for us just like a mellow breeze or cool clean water. On the other hand , unstable keyboard- based footprints drive us mad and anxious actually. Gradually their playing pace is getting rougher, speedier, and deep heavy fuzzy soundvision is stabilized ultimately. On the middle phase rough but intriguing flexible jazz essence like U? Jsme Doma or Djamra should ring our bell obviously. The latter part has fascinating tranquility but simultaneously incredible dissonance. Easygoing saxophone utterance is quite optimistic. It's not too much to say this track should involve almost all of their attitude and personality. "Tucumbalam" is simple but unusual, leaning towards Ad Nauseum or Cardiacs. Enjoyable melodic repetitions catch our heart but not so tiny because of violent heaviness in the middle part. "Hotelli Kognitio" has two different individualities - The first section is pretty calm, acoustic, but somewhat 'risky'. This texture could not relieve us so badly. The following one is another brutal jazz / heavy rock featuring loud saxophone shouts and kinky violin frictions. Not simply doomy nor metallic but we can touch their musical roots to doom / tech / extreme metal definitely. And attention. The very last 4 and half minute sound theatre is their explosive passion by utilizing tape effects and synthesizer-based colourful noises. How amazing their tricks are.

In conclusion, we cannot avoid this creation as an obscure, limited, specialized edition. Do hope some independent label could reissue their strange production.

P. S. Andrew (Gordy) has let us know such a superb album like "Heaven Is All" Let me say thanks to Andrew for sharing their precious information.
