Andras Atlason (b. April 23, 1996) is a Brazilian-Faroese musician, composer, and cultural anthropologist. A pianist and former bassist and lead singer of prog rock act Da Zai, he is releasing in 2022 his upcoming first solo record, an ambitious 12-track record combining literature, music and visual arts into an intercivilizational dialogue between Latin America and a small Nordic archipelago. The record Atlantis mixes multiple prog influences with orchestral instruments in concise song formats. Greek bouzoukis, oboes, cellos, bansuri flutes and violins are some of the instruments you'll find mixed in the melting pot.

Discography:

With Da Zai:
Ritoli (2013)
Shogyoumujou (2016)

As solo artist:
Atlantis (2022)

Thank you for the suggestion! Unfortunately we cannot evaluate artists based on albums that are not yet released. Please let us know when your(?) debut album sees the light of day; it sounds quite interesting from your description!

Hey guys, any news?

I was just eager to submit this album for reviewing while the release is still fresh. Am I right to understand that I need to be approved as an "artist" here first?

Cheers!

Whether or not you are a true artist is not for anyone to decide LOL We only judge whether one's music is at home on a website dedicated to progressive rock, and the Eclectic Prog team has unanimously decided that your album indeed deserves a place here. You can expect to see a page for you appear in the near future.

Hey man! First of all thanks a lot.

Is it normal for this process to take this long? I've been checking it regularly but nothing so far.

Hello, and no problem! Normally it's not supposed to take this long, but only staff members with a sufficiently high clearance level (for lack of a better term...) can add artist pages to the database, and they all happen to be very busy with IRL matters at the current moment. We humbly ask you to remain patient 😅

Added, apologies for the delay & thank you for the patience. Let me know if it needs any edits.
