Under Wraps is a good album beneath that somewhat challenging production. In my opinion their best post mid-70s work (ducking the tomatoes )

Here I am , Jim! I brought my gladiator outfit with me. As for tomatoes, I love 'em, so bring 'em on (sorry George) !
C'mon, everyone! Its easy to Sl*g Anderson'a attempt to modernize and it was a sign of the times! There wern't many great albums in the 80s , so give it a break!
I recently lent Walking in the Light (Ian's electronica-infested debut album -cousin of Under Wraps) to a local highly gifted musician who was stunned by the high quality of the drum programming, unable to fathom how this was done with primititive 80's equipment! Under Wraps is not great but in its own context, devoid of comparisons , its a fine listen.

Tormato is the best, but a lot of Genesis pop is fantastic.

Tormato wins but Abacab is fine and the same goes for We Can't Dance (if it wouldn't be soooo long it could be much better).

We Can't Dance would have been a much better album had the track listing been something like this: 1. Jesus He Knows Me (yeah, I like that song) 2. Driving the Last Spike 3. On The Shoreline (why this was left off the album makes no sense to me) 4. Dreaming While You Sleep 5. No Son of Mine 6. I Can't Dance (Yeah I like that one too) 7. Fading Lights

I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

Yes but songs like Don't Kill The Whale are very close to mediocrity.

I like Don't Kill the Whale. It's Circus of Heaven and Arriving UFO that really drag the album down for me.

Probably Ababcab, but each of the albums listed is annoying in its own special way.

I prefer Tormato to some of the other more regarded Yes albums ,in fact I would only put the holy trinity of The Yes Album,Fragile and CTTE above it. After that Yes became fairly inconsistent with good and bad tracks until maybe Drama which I would put just after those named three. Then Tormato vies with Relayer and GFTO in my book.

Arriving UFO is great. I agree with you that Circus of Heaven is dragging the album down.

Abacab just over Tormato. Abacab is really a great album filled with Pop classics. I mean, who doesn't like No Reply At All? It's such a fun and catchy song. It also has tracks like the title track and Dodo/ Lurker that give a nod to the good old days, which is great. Definitely my most played 80's, Pop Genesis album.

Abacab, I think. 90125 probably would be if it were up there.
