^ Too young to die.
RIP, legendary person. I remember Ray Manzarek mentioned him (among other poets of the era) in his memoirs.

RIP Beat poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti, died today at 101 years old. In addition to being a poet, he was also a publisher of note, releasing the 1st edition of Allen Ginsberg's Howl, which got him thrown in jail in 1957 for publishing obscene material. You know, the sort of stuff you and your family can watch on cable nightly.

According to the article, Bozo was sort of a franchise. The owner/creator sold the concept of Bozo to various television markets and it seems as though they each created their own unique shows based on this character. It was actually kind of an interesting article to read if you have the time.

RIP Bozo the Clown. Art Cervi, longtime Bozo the Clown on Detroit TV, dies at 86 (freep.com)
I shared the article in case any one is interested because there is a connection to Frank Zappa and the Mothers that I thought was kind of cool.

To paraphrase Robert Louis Stevenson (who was actually referring to Matthew Arnold): "Poor Rush. He's gone to heaven, no doubt. But he won't like God." |

And R.IP to Wilson, the importance of the Supremes and vocal harmonies, they sat a high standard which very few could follow up on. |

Very sad, lovely lady, great voice.. ive always had a real soft spot for Motown; Great Harmonies, Arrangements and real richness of sound.. and that Bass.. I know Chris Squire was really influenced by those Motown session bassists.. i think a lot more of its influence crept into early/Proto- Progressive and Psych than is often given credit. RIP Mary x
