Clockwork Angels

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

Grace Under Pressure. The Cold War concept album. Far more pleasing band work dynamically than Clockwork Angels.

Yes.  Clockwork Angels has some decent songs on it, but it's marred greatly by being mixed by Nick Raskulinecz (nothing against his producing, just his engineering) and by Geddy Lee's dramatic vocal decline since Snakes & Arrows, which is a superior album, to my ears (though still too dynamically compressed).

Not really a fair comparison as Clockwork is a great modern record but Grace is simply a sublime work from start to end.

I enjoy GUP a great deal but consider Clockwork Angels a masterpiece.

Enjoyed Clockwork Angels more than I expected, but Grace Under Pressure might just be my favourite from them.
Bigger on the inside.

I think Grace is what they do best--big hard rock songs with a chorus and verse and catchy riffs---as a full on heavy prog band Yes' Gates or Sound Chaser is more interesting to meWink

P/G is among their best. Clockwork Angels is a good, fun album, but it's by far the most simplistic album they've put out in years

Clockwork Angels of course. The best thing they have done since Moving Pictures.
