"the toilet of destiny" simply because toilet is a funny word. second choice was "we choose to be here" but that is far too Zen for my tastes this morning. |

Why are we here? Because we're here. Roll the bones

And I am not frightened of dying, any time will do, I
don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying? There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime. I never said I was frightened of dying. |

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |

We, like all other creatures on this earth, are here for one purpose - to spawn progeny and ensure the future of the species.
It wasn't in the list, so I didn't vote Edited by cobb |

To keep society going for the next generation, who will continue the
cycle, until one of our generations f**ks up and we're enslaved by a
bunch of aliens/apes. Or both. Oh god.
I just hope society turns itself around temporarily and it all happens after I die. |

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil...Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 The above was penned by King Solomon, the son of King David. |

For the beer and the women of course! Did you really need to ask?

A few months ago I had the strangest feeling, while standing on the upstairs landing, that I was the chosen one with a higher purpose. Sadly I didn't pay much thought to it because it was in the middle of exams season and I was busy avoiding revision (results in 49 hours ).

I read rapidly and I thought it was here in the PA, then my answer should be "Supreme beings..." In the case of Earth, I am (or better was) here for beer and women... but I know that with age the first thing is easy to get and hard to consume in great quantities while the second thing is hard to get and harder to consume even in few quantities.
