Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

One more band added to the Subtacto-lineup: SYLVAN. And there are now only 1 or 4 bands more to be added. One band on friday and three on sunday, but sunday is not confirmed yet, as the venue probably are occupied with another arrangement that day, so for now it's 50-50 if we're going through with the third day or not.

For the Spacerockers amongst us. I'm going. Note, if you will, the ex-Hawkwind themed headliners! All bands are at the Space Rock end of the Prog spectrum, but hey, that never 'urt no one!

edit: Oh yeah, talking of Hawkwind (that nearly rhymes), there's also the Hawkfest, the weekend later. 25th, 26th, 27th,28th July. I'm going to that too!

I can'tseem to find a website for it, but there's also Kuri Proge (on the island Hiiumaa) on August 2nd.  All I know for sure is Anekdoten's playing.

I just love this place, after last year's festival I consider myself very lucky to be going again!  I havn't seen Threshold for about 12 years, so it's about time I caught up!

Approve   A whole weekend of Spanish sun!  (don't worry I'll be back to gloomy old UK on Monday!)

I came back from Burg Herzberg at half past midnight:great fun because there were good vibes all over the
place but the schedule was eventually disappointing with Grobschnitt below average and a psych/kraut free Guru Guru(Kawabata Makoto's kraut power never escaped from his mind),moreover there were two awful reggae bands.I would have prefered a psych/prog/fusion/zeuhl/kraut event but people were nice(I met so many interesting persons) and I saw great concerts:QOPH(smoking!!!!),Anthurus d'Archer(so weird and so good!),Hypnos 69(great!),Sebka Chott(good crazy music!),Motorpsycho(heavy side of life!),Siena Root(rock'n roll!) and Litmus(fun to see this Hawkwind styled band!).Moreover musicians were really friendly:I didn't regret such a long way(1500 kilometers from my hometown).

Yes, I have to admit, I was quite surprised at that one as well...but I can't help thinking that their line up is considerably heavier on the 'Prog' than on the 'Power' this year.  Is that a reflection on Dutch tastes??

anyway, all updates have been carried out now, with all festivals having completed their line-ups for 2008.

...I shall revisit this thread in the late autumn to start on the 2009 calendar, if people think this continues to be a worthwhile service for PA.

Best Regards to all....

The festival calenders that you do here are probably one of the resources I use most on PA now Fanny!

Keep it up, I know there is a lot of work involved, but it's greatly appreciated! ClapClapClap

(appreciated by me any way! Wink )
