Another apples v. oranges pick here, one of the premier RPI bands pitted against underground space legends Hawkwind. Which is more to your taste and why?
Please: If you are not familiar with one or both of the band's material, I urge that you use the links provided and at least listen to the samples on their respective pages (or Youtube if the particular band has no online streaming). Le Orme's PA page: http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=278 Hawkwind's PA page: http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=732 As always, discussions are encouraged. haha, on any other forum...
Not eager to vote either way - I always thought Le Orme were a little lightweight and simple aside from on Contrapuntti, and Hawkwind just don't resonate with me for a reason I don't understand |

Le Orme, though the comparison is strange.

Love Le Orme (have 5 albums) but Hawkwind is atrue fave and I have like 20 albums , it would be silly not to vote for the Space Bandits.

Neither RPI or space ride is my thing, but this time I'll go with Le Orme. Contrappunti and Uomo di pezza are two albums a really enjoy. The next one will be a traumatic one for me

Well this is a really hard one i have mostly the Hawkwind discography and also the Le Orme discography.
I like ver much the classic line up of the mighty hawks and sympathize with Lemmy and Dave Brock a lot.
I think that Space Ritual is among the top 5 live albums of all time of any music genre.
I love the "Calvert Years" a lot.
For other part Le Orme with his brilliant discography (i have all the albums) simply engages me the sound textures, the brilliant musicianship captivate my senses.
Their brilliant albums that they have, specially Collage, Uomo Di Pezza, Felona e sorona, Contrapunti, Veritanacoste and Storia o Leggenda are unsurpassed masters.
The voice of Tagliaprieta is excellent.
The keyboards of Pagliuca are among the best that i ever heard.
So my vote is for Le Orme, sorry Sonic Assassins

Hawkwind, although I've never heard a second of Le Orme. Not that it will matter at this point in the poll
I too thought this run would be closer. |

Aaarghh. Can't believe the Hawks are being wiped out! Another vote for them from me.
I'm afraid I know very little Le Orme, and am really interested in hearing more. However I cannot allow this slaughter to continue so it's a vote for Hawkwind, not that it'll make much difference I'm afraid.
