I LOVE Neal and the Flower Kings, but:
? is my least favorite Neal Morse album- favorite is probably "One"
Paradox Hotel and The Sum of no Evil are my two least favorite FK albums
(but they are still great of course)
Flower Kings best IMO: Space Revolver, Adam and Eve, and Unfold the Future

Well iTunes is limited and I was taking earlier suggestions so I got "The Sum of No Evil," and finished "V" so I would have a full SB album. With my few dollars left I bought a few more tracks from Bungle's California.
We'll see where I end up.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

We'll see where I end up. | The Sum of No Evil has two decidedly brilliant songs: "One More Time" and "Life in Motion." The middle of the album is here and there, but there's some fabulous instrumental passages during the journey.
The middle songs of V are more pop and Gentle Giant-oriented, and are quite good.

^Interesting, I think the middle is the best. Well, I take that back, The two longer tracks in the middle are the better of the couple. Life in Motion and One More Time have absolutely dreadful lyrics which make an already cheesy tune cheesier really. Certainly some points in those songs are solid, but I found myself cringing at some of the embarassing things they say in those songs.

Well I have a long drive through snow this morning so I'll get a good chance to listen. Gentle Giant is always good for me, so I'm glad I got the rest of V.

I been circlin' like in orbit
'Round that cosmic Christmas tree

I'm only on my first listen and that Cosmic Christmas Tree caught my ear....ewwwwww.
But overall I'm really impressed with the music. The vocals, meh, they're there. Not bad enough to harm the music but don't hurt it either. At least most of the lyrics are fairly positive.
And the cover is cool.

The chorus in "Love Is The Only Answer" makes me cringe every time as well... It's still a kick-ass album, though. I can certainly look past the lyrical flaws. -Jeff

I got that a little while ago, and it is REALLY good! Jay, if you get some more iTunes money, Whispers and Screams is worth a purchase -Jeff
