Yoshida Tatsuya, because he's played with like 100000000000 people.

Yeah, my serious answer would either be Hawkwind, VDGG or King Crimson. Crimson has the most variety so I might go with them.

Thinking about it and i would take all the classical music that i have and listened 2 or 3 times and always get the feeling that i didn't got to enjoy completely... So, i would take my 5cd's boxset of Bach. Just hope to have enough time to listen...
Music is the refuge of souls ulcerated by happiness.

Probably John Zorn. He has such a huge discography spanning so many different styles, it would take a long time to get bored of that. Frank Zappa and Miles Davis would also be good choices for that same reason.

I thought about Miles Davis and even  Magma but I think Herbie Hancock (that is, if part of the deal could be that it would not only be based on the albums I already have, but I would be able to get the complete discography since I have more Miles Davis and Magma albums).  Or maybe Sun Ra.  It seems I have some more thinking to do.

Then again, maybe Beethoven. No, Rachmaninoff I think.

Edit: Where was my brain? Ennio Morricone.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Zappa, since going through his entire discography would probably take me an entire week (rather than, say, ten hours).

The same here.

Johann Sebastian Bach. (now that is a big discography... only with the different versions of the B minor Mass I'd have more cds than most people here... Tongue)

If they allow me a second one, LvBeethoven, and a third one, WAMozart.

After like 12 composers, finally Dream Theater would appear... Tongue

Insanely hard choice. I would probably go with Jethro Tull, because they have a lot of different periods and I like them all, so I would have variety in addition to great music.

If I am restricted to one artist, I will probably wither away and die.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...
