Do you really think that those were worse than flying a plane between two buildings as they collapse in upon each other after driving a car for 50 miles with the ground opening up behind you the entire way as a result of an earthquake but never quite catching up to you even though you stop the car to get out and get on the airplane?

No. They went crazy with the CGI in that movie. Thinking back on The last action hero and The last boy scout those were done in a action/satire theme.
