Orchid is one of my all time favorite debuts, so as much as I like Pale Folklore, my vote goes to Opeth.

I wish Agalloch would re-record Pale Folklore with a better drummer and then master it so the levels are not as annoying. And then re-record the drums on The Mantle too.

Wow, this poll is much closer than I would have thought it would be. I would vote, but I have not heard all of Pale Folklore. Anyway, Agalloch and Opeth are both great bands!

They don't bother me on the Mantle, but yea I agree with that about PF. I hate how on Dead Winter Days you can hear the goddam pick on the strings.
