I discovered Nemo through PA in 2005 (I think?) and have been an avid fan since.
I remember when we moved to the USA in 2006, I put on Nemo's Les Nouveaux Mondes on our small audio system in our rented studio apartment, and my wife asks me: - "who is that playing?" - to which I replied "Nemo" - "so they like Jules Verne?" she asks me - (satisfied she didn't say anything about the damned fish) "I'd say, yes; listen to the lyrics of this album; it has the story of - Philéas Fogg" - to which she replies "this is beautiful music, can you show me where the cd's are?" - And so began her journey with Nemo as well. We've been fan together since. If I had to pick a favourite, Prelude A La Ruine would be it with Si 1 being close second. But honestly, I think they're very consistent with their albums and I love them all. So given we've had a new album this year, in the form of Révolu$ion, what's your favourite Nemo album? |

no one?
Maybe if I did a poll comparing them against Porcupine Tree and then saying only those who heard Nemo could vote... |

I remain a fan of their Si Parties. Probably. I've grown cold to them. I still haven't listened to Revolution.

Sadly I've only heard Barbares to this point, although I keep meaning to check them out some more. The title track is absolutely amazing and I've really been meaning to get this years release, as well as Si I and II.

Revo is the miles ahead of their other albums, tho the pic is inferior to it's prequel on Barbares.

I only have Barbares and I've not listened to it since probably late 2009 or early 2010...good album, just rarely in the mood for the style.

No vote from me!
I have only Barbares (Ltd. Edition with bonus CD SI-LIVE), La Machine A Remonter Le Temps (DVD Live + double CD compilation) and R€volu$ion.
I really love this band. And from what I've heard, I like Barbares the most.
There was a concert planned for januari 2012 at the Spirit Of 66 (Verviers Belgium) but it 's already cancelled.
I hope they can find a new date soon.

No vote, only heard Revolu$ion, but it's good stuff.
Also, how do you pronounce Nemo, long e or short e? Edited by Kazza3 - October 31 2011 at 05:04 |
