Flash reactions....

Grizzlies - not bad. like Midlake.
Silversun - nice.  will be listening to more.
Arcade - I've heard some, not bad.
Black Keys - Heard them, not bad.
My morning Jacket - Have a few cds, good stuff.
Joe B - Friends been pushing him for years, thus far without success
Vampire Weekend - warrants further exploration
Electric Six - hilarious, will check out more
Biffy Clyro - pretty good
Delta Sol - rump shakin'
Car Seat Headrest - lo fi as advertised, but promising, like it!
Unknown Mortal - cool, warrants more listens
Parquet Courts - if I tell you I'd have to kill you
Alter Bridge - "reminds me of crap they play through the P.A. after the actual concert is over, the smoke going down and everyone stumbling out of the venue. The party over music."  -YT comment that made me laugh, harsh.  Talented guys, not sure it's my thing, will listen more.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - yeah, indeed
Kaisers - so far so good

So I saw HAIM on SNL a few weeks ago and kind of liked it.  Should I be punched for that?  Reminded me of Luscious Jackson a little.

Enough listening for one night.....thanks all, some cool stuff here!!  Smile

Electric Six was pretty interesting, I should explore some more.

My personal favourite of bands that debuted after 2000 and are not prog is Everything Everything.  It's not particularly rocking, but rock is probably the best fit for their general approach.  But you HAVE to ignore their vocals to get into them, unless, that is, you do like that style of singing.   Both of their albums, 'Man Alive' and 'Arc', are very interesting.

Go ahead and punch yourself. I thought of suggesting them but figured they would be too poppy. Their debut album is one of my faves from 2013.

Kinda surprised to see that Tame Impala hasn't been mentioned yet. One of my absolute favourite modern rock bands. Think Beatles meets Dungen and you're not that far off. Both of their albums are brilliant, and I can never decide which one I love the most.
If you follow this link, you'll find both albums in their entiretySmile

Arhh come on Deano - don't you know that all of this is necessary in order to become the heartaker to Jootoob's bottomless treasurepit?
