When was the last time Dick Heath posted ?
He was the only one from here whom I desired to join my forum.
As I seem to recall, he declined the offer.

| I was on newsgroups for a while especially RMP(recordings music progressive). At some point progressive ears became a major source for prog fans although it never really exploded the way this site has and it still only has maybe 3,000 members.

Had some great conversations with Mickey and Raff. I promised her I would go to Her citizenship ceremony if she ever made the leap but then they both kind of disappeared.
Also miss Snow Dog, marktheshark, WaywardSon, Australian... Lots of others too. Seems like the tempo on the site has slowed down the last couple of years - or maybe it's just me. |
Hi Bob!! You don't have to worry about that hahhaha. She did
decide wisely to not go for full citizenship. Uncle Sam has a funny way
of wanting its hands on things that don't belong to them. She is here
for me, or has stayed here for me. The day she tires of me or I finally
retire or blow myself up at work is the day she returns home. We
didn't disappear as much as were immolated by what made this site so
great all those years ago. It was a site full of very strong
personalities, full of sex, violence, intrique back stabbing, dirty back
room dealing to get bands added and shape the site as we thought it
should be...and that was only my contribution... ahem.. so well noted by the
site which gave all other retired SC's an honorary tag, I was so beloved I got
demoted hahahaha. Great times they were. A lot of fun and a lot
of great, fun, interesting people. Many had started moving on even
before we left. Raff moved on to doing her own thing with her blog for prog music
which she does love so much. For me I indulged myself on my love of
Willie Nelson and Motown, subjects for the discussion here sucks haha.

They even include the lyrical themes on the band pages. For obvious reasons.

Hey Robert! Good seeing you around! We did have some good times didn't we!
As far as telling Raff Hi? Do it yourself, get your ass up the road to Chapel Hill next weekend for Progday!
We are not hard to find, just look for the beautiful woman mixing and hobnobbing with everyone and the creepy weaselly looking guy sitting under the pavilion drinking mass quantities of beer, reading a book and eyeing little girls with bad intent. Snot running down his nose greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes.

Nice to hear from you folks. Out of curiosity, what's the URL of Raff's blog?

we didn't take prisoners that is for sure! add in Ivan to that wicked triangle of passion and despotism and you had one hell of a mix. Only with us could one get a 18 page debate about the release date of Yes album. Oh the good times we had. Great to see you Thomas. You were (are still I'm quite sure) one of the gems of the site! Raff says hi as well!!!
