Gotta go Talk Talk here, love the meloncholy 80's sound that they have.  It really transcends many different genres all of which I love.

Area has long been one of my absolute favourite bands for quite a few years and I cannot vote against it. That said, I like Talk Talk a lot and actually they make the kinds of music that I'm listening to a lot these days. .

I admire both bands, but Talk Talk is closer to my heart, so to say.

Only consider one Talk Talk album to be prog as I always thought of them as a pop band. Another vote for RPI and Area.

Hmmm... the big angry boys of RPI with a string of greats versus a good synthpop band who then went into creative overdrive on one album that blows so many others away and helped give us post-rock...

To the underdogs. Give everyone something to Talk about.

bah.  It is so unlike my impulsive nature to sit on anything especially when in my heart I know what I want to do.

voting against the mighty RPI conference for the first and likely last time. LOL

I do love Area, but I do love Talk Talk as much but they connect where it counts, in the heart, where Area is simply incapable of doing that purely by their style.  Now the day I finally get fed up with the f**king bullsh*t in this country and finally decide to go Ferguson on this countries ass... AREA will be in my headphones for sure!!

Gonna go with my heart as I had the pleasure of seeing Talk Talk live in 1986 - and great they were too! (Not particularly prog at the time but that grew and went from great to genius.
