I think the Hawks win me over, though it's again a close call.

Another tough choice. Considering that Renaissance will probably win anyway, I vote for Hawkwind.

still sitting.. and will sit until the end.. or until one pulls away and then voting for the loser. Happy to see either move on.
both great and loved... but scratch completely different itches so really can't choose. Then again.. I guess if I had to choose.. it would be Renaissance. It is the album I reach for when I want me some Renaissance.. Hall of the Mountain Grill is not always the first I'd reach for when I want me some Hawkwind. |

This one wasn't tough since I never got into Renaissance.

Not really a fan of either band, but the vote for Hawkwind was still an easy choice. Annie is my kryptonite.

Tough call but just an edge to the Hawks.

I'm a big Renaissance fan but the album chosen is nowhere near my favorite.
I'm not a big Hawkwind fan, but I enjoy certain individual tracks by them a lot. I prefer "Warrior on the Edge of Time" to the one chosen, but Scheherazade would be my choice over any Hawkwind album anyway

I like Scheherazade, if a bit less than I used to. Hall of the Mountain Grill is kind of bland as Hawkwind albums go. Voted for Renaissance.

Scheherazade is beautiful, and Hawkwind still has to grow on me, so...

Yeah I know I'm in the minority on that one Samuel. |

I know the feeling, I'm in the minority about VdGG... and Syd Barrett

Well that's what makes this place interesting I'd be a real drag if we all were listening to the same stuff. I think we have a very broad bench here on PA, which probably has something to do with the many different age groups and cultures represented. Btw I think most folks would agree with you on Syd. There are a couple of die hard fans on PA, but I think the majority thinks he was a tad too weird for his own good. Not me though! |

I agree. Polls would be really boring otherwise
I find strange that Madcap has a higher rating than Saucerful here I like weirdness, but he already was out of his mind, it's sad and I'm not able to enjoy. I think it would make a good anti-drug campaign though.

Where did you happen to catch them? Have been tracking the Europe/Israel shows; I swear she's got vocal cords made of tungsten or something like that.

Wonderful! Yup, it was a great show, have seen the clips. Eagerly waiting for the DVD from the London show.
