After listening to the first three albums, particular the first, I think it's fair to say these guys fall under prog related at least. The gripping I Want To Be A Machine is a prime example, with a fairly conventional structure ending in a furious violin spot that I can't really compare to any other artist. The Roxy Music influences are everywhere, Kraftwerk is evident in songs like My Sex and Hiroshima Mon Amour, and even Brian Eno produced the first album. My Sex actually samples the Phil Collins drums from Sky Saw though I'm not using this as a basis for inclusion, just a factoid.
Some prime tracks that give them credibility. |

I'll bite. I always liked their music and now that I can argue they're prog related, I will probably like it even more (since I've been on a 90% prog diet for the past year).

Well, they've been discussed a couple of times before and the last was quite recently: Ultravox and beyond, though an older discussion from 2007 was more level-headed: Ultravox.

since I've only been around for about nine months, I haven't had time to read the entire back catalogue yet.
