Ok, love is too strong a word, but the word tolerate fits. The world didn't end because Trump became president. We didn't enter into another Mideast conflict or get nuked by North Korea and the economy is booming. So, I have no problem with 4 more years of the Donald as our commander in chief.

Besides, with the country $400 trillion in debt, I rather have old Donald at the helm when the economy finally implodes. After all, who does bankruptcy better then he?

For me, even the term tolerate is a bit strong. I've learnt to ignore him. What this 'post truth' Trump/Boris/Brexit era has done to me, is to diminish my faith in human kind, and in politicians in general.

I used to avidly read newspapers and follow the news. I was a Labour party member, and generally took an interest in the political and geo-political landscape. Now I just think "F**k em" What'll be will be.

In a democracy, you lie in the bed you make for yourselves.

At least in the US, we still have idealistic politicians like Bernie, Mayor Pete and other Dems that do actually care about people. How well they can govern and fight against the "post truth" supporters is the question, even if they do get put into a position to lead.

Jeremy Corbyn is an idealistic politician, who genuinely and is certainly to the left of Bernie Sanders, who despite what his critics in the US say, is NOT a socialist. Corbyn is unfortunately a hopeless leader. I think the problem is that the left, or relative left is out of tune with the Zeitgeist' right now. That may change, but things need to get unbearable for that change to happen, IMO.

Most people vote for who they think will let them keep more of their wages at the end of the month. Many will vote for those who they believe best represent them ideologically, but from what I can see, in the US, the dems stopped supporting the "working man" and started fixating on the Middle East and pandering to the middle class student, politically correct set, and lost 'blue collar' America to Trump, whilst being so up their own asses, they failed to notice it was happening. Correct me if I'm wrong.

That sounds about right to me. Being a decent person does not make someone a good politician.

I hear Stanley Kubrick is looking for a new writer, to do a new movie! He doesn't have Peter Sellers to do 6 or more voices, but thinks you might do!

^Being the "royal" dynasty it is, either Eric will be crowned king, or Ivanka will be crowned Queen. What's democracy?

It's a strange love, but understandable in a way. Who knows what would have happened if Hillary would have been elected POTUS?
