Great movie indeed, the original being way better than the newer version (which was quite poor Cry)

Not prog, but R.I.P. Trevor Strnad. The Black Dahlia Murder were one of the bands that got me into metal in the first place, and their influence on extreme metal as a whole can never be overstated. And Trevor was only 41... gone way too young Cry

Saxophonist Barbara Thompson has died age 77 after a 25 year battle with Parkinson's disease. So much could and should be said about her musical legacy as well as her bravery and determination to fight the disease and to be enabled to make music pretty much up to the end. An inspiration to us all and will be sadly missed. Sincere condolences to family and friends, RIP Barbara.

In honour of Barbara Thompson here three video clips, each about an hour long, of concerts of her own band Paraphernalia, the United Jazz & Rock Ensemble (in the biggest line-up they ever had with a guitar player, a keyboard player, two bass players, two drummers, a percussionist, three sax players, four trumpet players and a trombone player, so fifteen musicians in the whole), Colosseum (she joined Colossseum in 2003 when Dick Heckstall-Smith became ill shortly before they started their tour with an appearance for the German TV-show Rockpalast; he died later that year). All three clips also feature her husband Jon Hiseman (who died in 2018) on drums.

Paraphernalia:

R.I.P. Michael Henderson.  A definitely unique musician.  Mostly known as Miles Davis bass player in the early 70s.  He can be heard on 13 of Miles' releases.  Some notables were A Tribute to Jack Johnson (1971), Live-Evil (1971), In Concert: Live at Philharmonic Hall (1973) and Big Fun (1974). In addition to his work with Miles, Henderson charted several times on the RnB charts.  "Wide Receiver" and probably his biggest "You Are My Starship".  R.I.P.

^ Oh that's very sad. I'd like to think that she is joining her brother on that great big spaceship in the sky, but I doubt that she would appreciate the sentiment.
Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

At the moment she'd decided to leave the original show in '67, she happened to be at an event where MLK convinced her not to.   Talk about destiny.
