^^ Let's leave Electric Rooster, at least until the release date.

Compilation not studio

If this is moved to compilations, do you then want to add their first album Lucillo & Giada which was released digitally in 2019, but was apparently a vinyl release way back in 1980?

I see you've already added Baro Prog-Jets first album to the site, though I'm not sure that the album was ever released by MaRaCash Records separately on CD as you suggest - only as the 2CD combined package with the 'Topic Würlenio' album (published by Andromeda Relix with MaRaCash Records taking care of the distribution) which you have asked us to move to compilations.

As far as I'm aware, both 'Lucillo & Giada' and 'Topic Würlenio' have only ever been released recently as separate albums in digital format, not as two individually available CDs. I believe both were released separately on vinyl back in the early 1980s though.
I've now arranged the three 2019 releases in their correct release date order on the page, so now it's a matter of letting the E&O Team take whatever action they think is necessary to finish off the editing of this artist's discography.

I doubt these albums were released in the 80's.
Bandcamp pages (Lucillo & Giada and Topic Würlenio) read:

"Lucillo & Giada":
Composed 1979-1980
Digital recording: 1999-2000, 2013

"Topic Würlenio":
Composed 1981-1983 Digital recording: 2011-2012

This means they couldn't be released until 2013 and 2012 accordingly. Because we see only 2019 releases I think 2019 is a correct year.

The only thing to be corrected in my opinion is the absence of a separate "Lucillo & Giada" album in physical formats.

^ It's difficult to be sure what happened back in the 1980s because I can't find either of the two albums for sale anywhere as cassettes or vinyl LPs. This would confirm the existence of such releases without any doubt.

However, on the Bandcamp page for the Lucillo & Giada album it says:

"Baro prog-jets first album.

Lucillo & Giada is a concept album, a unique 44-minute suite divided theatrically into 4 scenes, with only one break in the half (as it was a 2 sides vinyl record). Therefore you’d better listen to in CD than in mp3. The physical production offers a continuous listening, easing the navigation with a breakdown in 11 episodes."

That does suggest that a vinyl LP did exist back in the early 80s.

In this piece on the baroprog.it website Alberto Molesini (aka Baro) talks about how he added a cover of "Your Move" by Yes to the beginning of side 2 of a tape he was making of the Lucillo & Giada album as an original gift for his girlfriend Daniela, to celebrate the 500 days anniversary of them being together. It then says in brackets that the song was removed from the official edition, also implying that the album definitely was released at that time in some physical format.

Then in this review by Luca Paoli on Gioco.it says:

"It's a great pleasure for me to tell you about two great albums finally re-edited, revised and updated.

Alberto Molesini in art "Baro" has been active in the Italian progressive scene since the late 1970s with "La Sintesi" band which will contribute to feeding and satisfying, with their concerts, the desire for prog in our country.

In 1980 they released their first album entitled "Lucillo & Giada". A concept, divided into four acts (but in the new CD divided into several tracks for listening convenience) that tells, in a political fiction, the author's teenage experiences.

Three years later the second album "Topic Würlenio" comes out.
A less prog album maybe, more immediate but always of high artistic level.
Two works that move between progressive rock and folk never neglecting the melody.

A double CD has recently been released by Andromeda Relix and distributed by GT Music Distribution, which brings together both works. Alberto Molesini puts his hand into it by adding new ideas and arrangements, leaving the spirit and idea of these two projects intact."

^ That review thus also implies that both these albums were released back in the 1980s.

It's difficult to know for sure whether these albums ever were released back in the 1980s - though my feeling is that they most likely weren't, but they've certainly not been released separately on any physical medium in 2019 - only as individual digital albums, and as a 2CD package containing the two physical albums together.

^ Thanks, David. Using only confirmed info I've added years of composing and recording in these 3 releases info. Also deleted physical formats of separate albums and added a line of their availability as parts of double CD.

^ Yes, everything now looks fine to me, Eugene. That's definitely the best that can be done with the info that we have available.

Hi everybody, Baro here. I'm sorry you had to search here and there to rebuild the story of my first two albums.
I can confirm that they haven't been released to the public in the 80s, only a few copies in cassette format circulated as a demo among friends and some musicians.
After a first digital recording of Lucillo & Giada in 1999, it has been released in digital format on a platform named Vitaminic.
In the early 2000s I restarted composing and there was some buzz around another demo, it was the concept Utopie. Listenable this time, although production was not optimal.
Then I started to improve my production and I can say that around 2013 I had a version of the two early albums very near to the ones released in 2019 to the general public. The label suggested the physical double casket CD and digital format. Only then, on Bandcamp, I've tried to separate the digital editions.
I think you've done a good work separating the album entries in PA and mentioning the physical edition among the boxsets/compilations.
Thank you.

I don't know if this is the right place, but someone probably noticed that in the last album the band moniker has shrinked from "Baro prog-jets" to "Baro prog".
This choice has been driven by the (absolutely unwanted) similarity with the Barock Project band name.
So I'd like to ask PA administrators to change the Baro prog-jets band name accordingly.

^^ Many thanks, Alberto, for your replies.

According to your request the project's name changed fron "Baro prog-jets" to "Baro prog". Now it's shown on PA as BARO PROG / EX BARO PROG-JETS. It's because we have an agreement to keep both actual and former names.

I think it makes sense, because on covers of albums from different eras actual of their times names are shown.
