A person who will be missed now and many later years.
The worst vocal-wise Sabbath singer and the true voice of Black Sabbath and rock and heavy metal in general. Satanic, humorous, humanistic, true rock'n'roll clown sometimes making us to think of serious things (remember his "Revelation (Mother Earth)").

May the Prince of Darkness, whose songs, as far as I can tell, were bringing light to our souls, rest in pease.
Who are you and who am I to say we know the reason why... (D. Gilmour)

The first record that got me interested in metal was Diary of a Madman, and it is still one of the greatest, most progressive & creative hard rock recordings ever made.   Maybe the best.   Here's hoping he and Randy are having a big hug.

Diary of a Madman opens with my favorite Ozzy solo tune, a barnstormer of a kickoff.

RIP Ozzy

A milestone of a festival, let alone festival day. Alas, I'm only able to experience it in playback.

A mix of sad with an overwhelming sense of catharsis with the way the band closed their chapter of history.

RIP

Even though I knew he was done touring, and for sure was having more health and physical issues I was not expecting this at all.

Man so tough, especially after the recent event, he really looked like he was having fun!
I suspect the film of the concert will come out sooner now, I heard it was slated for 2026 release.

This is the only time I saw him.....

This is a tough one since I consider myself a fan. I like his paranormal related tv shows too (although they focus more on his son). Anyway, he was and is a true legend. RIP Ozzy.

I saw him live on the Ultimate Sin tour, a show where the opening act was the mighty Blue Oyster Cult.

I was much more there to see BOC, and I would have flipped the order of appearance if it were in my power. (Sorry, Ozzy.) But it was great to see Jake on guitar.

At age 70, I grew up with Ozzy and the Sabbath! I played "Paranoid" in the last band I was in, and many of us aspiring rock musicians started off with their easy-to-play, and FUN to play, material!

All I can say is that I am VERY grateful he had one last chance to connect with his adoring fan base in his last show!!   That is a rocker's dream, to go out in that fashion.

Fly high, Ozzie! You and Randy Rhodes can make some great music again!

A legend has left us. I regret not having been able to see him on stage, but am glad that he managed to bow out in style just a couple of weeks ago.

We'll spin Black Sabbath's debut later at dinner time as a tribute to him .

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

RIP Ozzy... massive Sabbath fan as a teenager...

... thanks for the memories...
