This is a tough one since I consider myself a fan. I like his paranormal related tv shows too (although they focus more on his son). Anyway, he was and is a true legend. RIP Ozzy.

People who didn't like him didn't realize what a great voice he had and how musical he was.   They just saw devil worship and his bizarre appearance.   You don't reach the top of the rock food chain without huge talent.

The first record that got me interested in metal was Diary of a Madman, and it is still one of the greatest, most progressive & creative hard rock recordings ever made.   Maybe the best.   Here's hoping he and Randy are having a big hug.

Even though I knew he was done touring, and for sure was having more health and physical issues I was not expecting this at all.

Man so tough, especially after the recent event, he really looked like he was having fun!
I suspect the film of the concert will come out sooner now, I heard it was slated for 2026 release.

This is the only time I saw him.....

A mix of sad with an overwhelming sense of catharsis with the way the band closed their chapter of history.

RIP

A milestone of a festival, let alone festival day. Alas, I'm only able to experience it in playback.

Diary of a Madman opens with my favorite Ozzy solo tune, a barnstormer of a kickoff.

A person who will be missed now and many later years.
The worst vocal-wise Sabbath singer and the true voice of Black Sabbath and rock and heavy metal in general. Satanic, humorous, humanistic, true rock'n'roll clown sometimes making us to think of serious things (remember his "Revelation (Mother Earth)").

May the Prince of Darkness, whose songs, as far as I can tell, were bringing light to our souls, rest in pease.
Who are you and who am I to say we know the reason why... (D. Gilmour)

One thing about Ozzy that always cracked me up is how he would run over to Tony--during Tony's solos, mind you--and start clapping and jumping around like right in front of Tony as he's trying to solo.

I was lucky enough to have seen him solo, twice; once with Randy Rhoads...

    Rest In Peace, Ozzy

Nice to see you stop by, Raff, even under these sad circumstances.

I Saw Sabbath twice with Ozzy, the Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and Never Say Die tours in the 70s (and then Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio on the Black and Blue tour), and once with Ozzy solo featuring Randy Rhoads and the Blizzard of Ozz. Each was a helluva concert.

I'll miss you, Ozzy. Fare thee well in Heaven or Hell.

Never got into Sabbath despite their obvious importance but Ozzy is one of those unique characters that made rock music what it was and is. No one like him before or since. You could even have sat nav devices programmed with his lovely voice. A sad loss but he lived his life how it should be. RIP

Sense and Insensibility: Ozzy Osbourne - the passing of a rock legend. We love you Ozzy, despite your batty eating habits.

I listened to it last night on youtube (even though I have the cd somewhere). I'm not sure I agree but I see where you're coming from because it has a lot of atmospheric keys on it. A lot of early Black Sabbath qualifies though as do certain tracks by Rainbow, Iron Maiden and even Metallica (apparently JP also).
