^ That's proper fandom. I've never watched anything 3 times and only a small handful of shows 2 times:
GOT Blake's Seven Survivors (TOS) UFO |

^ When I re-watched Game of Thrones I was astounded how much I'd missed or didn't grasp the first time. I've now seen the whole series at least five times. I'd highly recommend to anyone they watch it multiple times, it is truly a show that keeps on giving.

My very last is a Harlan Coben short (5 episodes). Not bad but has some inconsistencies. Before I've watched the whole of Yellowstone starting from the prequels. 1883 is the only one that really deserves some time. The others have good characters and excellent actors but the story is quite poor.
A mention goes to Faith Hill, a good pop singer who I didn't expect to be a so good actress. |

I didn't see the third season of Twin Peaks, I liked the first one more than the second, there is consensus that what ruined the suspense was revealing the mystery of Laura Palmer.
Now I'm watching the latest Dexter sequel (Resurrection), I really liked the original series, quite original in some aspects, and the first sequel (Dexter New Blood) and prequel (Dexter Original Sin) are very worthy, as the same team is involved (the creator is Clyde Phillips, who revolutionized TV in the '90s with Parker Lewis). For me, there's been a new generation of series in recent decades, with continuity, cinematographic work, not only in terms of aesthetics but also in the scripts, the content, which is the most important thing. Seinfeld already showed the cutting edge with an ending planned perhaps from the very beginning of the series. And years later, The Sopranos would be a step further in the world of the mafia, after Scorsese and Tarantino. So far, Dexter's new story is a bit strange...but we'll see how it evolves (or not.) |

^ yeah the first season of Twin Peaks was fantastic.
I'm enjoying Dexter: Resurrection a lot although I was hoping Krysten Ritter's character would hang around a bit longer (sorry spoilers). Apparently there is a good chance that Netflix will revive her best known character Jessica Jones for a couple of 'specials'. |

Finished season 2 of The Sandman. It seems there will be no more of this series - a shame as it's a great watch.

No problem, because I finished watching that episode just before connecting now! I was also sorry to see her character disappear because it was so much more than that. She's also very good at comedy. Now I think the core of this new season has been revealed, and I also find a lot of meaning in it regarding the characters' pasts. I hope they continue with the Young Dexter sequel, which was on the same level. |

^ Yep love Dexter: Original Sin especially Molly Brown as young Debra ''Potty Mouth'' Morgan. She is stunning and will I imagine be high in demand for other things. Her IMDb page:

I loved Jennifer Carpenter because she gave her character so many nuances... you could feel her contradictions. But there couldn't have been a better young Debra Morgan than Molly Brown. |

I am quite enjoying Dexter Resurrection, better than New Blood. I haven't watched the prequel with young Dexter.

Alien:Earth has got off to a fine start. Fun to see Alex Lawther (best known perhaps for the Netflix show End Of The f**king World) being chased and terrorised by the xenomorph. Some great casting choices including Timothy Olyphant as a 'synthetic' while Babou Ceesay is the spitting image of Yaphet Koto from the original film. Crafty! . Enjoyable if you don't take it too seriously.

One Piece series 1. How did I miss this gem of a TV Show that first aired in 2023? I'm really not a big fan of Manga or Anime, apart from a few movies (Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle etc.), so I wasn't expecting much from this really. Turns out this is massive in the Manga world and this is a TV series based on the comic series. I suppose the producers had an awful lot to live up to and respect the source material. In this regard I think they succeeded brilliantly and despite most of the actors being non-Japanese they absolutely kept that weird Japanese style. At times it borders on being childish, but it doesn't matter because it's the Manga way. The characters and locations really are something to behold and it feels like it's all jumping straight from the pages of a comic. The feel of it, the effects, the action really is top notch for a TV show and it just rolls along at a great pace - and who doesn't love pirates. As an adventure story this really sets a high bar and the 8 episodes flew by. My wife and I loved it and a second series in in the works - thankfully. Simply brilliant, feel good TV. A rip roaring 10/10

Stick
The nickname for golfers that are so good they can just put it by the flag stick with ease. Here Owen Wilson is a washed up golf pro who had the keys to the kingdom in his hand before a personal tragedy ended his career. However he spots a young golfer with the potential to be the next big thing and offers to coach and caddie for him. You can pretty much fill in the gaps after that but I enjoyed it for its warmth and humility. If you need a Ted Lasso type feel good comedy shot in the arm while waiting for the new season then you could do worse than check this out. |

"Adolescence"... A four episode miniseries now showing on Netflix. From IMDB... "When a 13-year-old is accused of the murder of a classmate, his family, therapist and the detective in charge are all left asking what really happened."
Nominated for 31 awards. An interesting note is that all four 1-hour episodes were filmed with a single camera in a continuous shot with no cuts, blends, CGI or even commercial breaks. The story and acting are superb, but admittedly an emotional gut-punch. |

^ Yes Adolescence was impressive indeed. Read this from wiki to realise the effort into getting the one shot episode:
Adolescence is noted for its extensive use of one-shot filming, as each episode is shot in one take[17] by cinematographer Matthew Lewis.[18] Shooting was planned through multiple rehearsals building up to full technical run-throughs, during which the director of photography would plan camera movements. Each one-hour episode was shot around 10 times, with two takes per day. Episodes were shown as completed in one take, with no cuts or blending of shots together with CGI.[19] Graham said that each episode took three weeks in total.[20] The takes used were as follows: first episode, 2nd take; second episode, 13th take; third episode, 12th take; fourth episode, 16th take.[20] The episodes were not shot in chronological order: Cooper's first day on set was shooting episode 3. |
