Give me a good wakeman solo any day, and I'm happy.

3 pages and no mention of Hugh Banton (Van Der Graaf Generator). Banton is the man! He may not have been as showy as Wakeman and the like, but he had a distinct style, and he was a master tinkerer, building or re-building his keyboards to suit the needs of the band's material. Hail Sir Banton!

Where's Kev Moore?

One "Space-Dye Vest" smokes all those frenzy five-minute solos (which I like nevertheless).

I quite like Ronnie Brown of Pallas actually. Maybe the band isn't always on top form but Ronnie seems to come up with the goods more often than not. A sort of halfway house between Keith Emerson and Tony Banks, he's a quiet Scot with a big sound. More power to you Ronnie!

The Caped crusader is @ No 1....

But you forgot to list, Banks, Greenslade, Badens who are ALL FAR better than Richard Wright ! - Even Geddy Lee is better than him....

How about Greg Boynton of Dagaband (ELP wannabees but good live!) - He could play a bit !

In a moment of impulsivity, I voted for Wakeman, and will stick with it for now, but the two guys who've really moved me with their playing lately are Neal Morse (on Testimony) and Derek Sherinian (on Ice Cycles).  Not enough to make me cast a vote for them, mind you, just enough to warrant mention.

Geddy Lee, just because he played with his feet while playing bass

My #1 is Keith Emerson, but I think Eddie Jobson should have been on
this poll.

What about Mike Ratledge from Soft Machine?

Also, Tony Banks and Jordan Rudess should be up there.

Plus, Jon Lord (if you class Deep Purple as Prog), and perhaps Neal Morse (if only for his work with Transatlantic & solo stuff).
