I only put bands that I am at least alright with on this list and there's not that many notable non-prog bands from the 90's and I'm not into indie, so the list is skimpy. If you have a different one just say it, but remember; NO PROG!

My vote goes for Soundgarden.

I voted for Soundgarden, great music indeed, but why you didn't you include Live in this poll I'm wondering...they would have got my vote for shure...
btw...this poll is in the wrong section and will certainly be moved...

I don't know how long this will be up before it's removed, but for me ALICE IN CHAINS,SOUNDGARDEN,STONE TEMPLE PILOTS and PEARL JAM are my favs.Very difficult to pick just one,but if i had to PEARL JAM would probably be the one.

It's just a music poll, I don't see why it should be removed.

It won't be RE-moved but moved for shure! Since it's not about PROG, and the catagory is PROG-polls I think...

I consider f**king Megadeth a f**king 80's band, but their best album was 1990.

Has anyone else heard of the band Failure?  Their album Fantastic Planet is excellent!  (A Perfect Circle covered their song "The Nurse Who Loved Me" on Thirteenth Step for those of you who are interested.)

I can't stand the 90s and all that awful grunge.

Out of all those bands, I'd have to go for the Chili Peppers. Almost half of their discography was released in the 1980s, and I'll take those patchy early albums over anything that 90s bands ever released.

I haven't heard much Live. What I have heard sounds alot like R.E.M. mixed with post-grunge. They aren't bad, but I guess I just didn't think of them.

My vote was cast for Pearl Jam, although RHCP, Soundgarden, Faith No More, or Stone Temple Pilots could have each gotten my vote.

OK, no problem, but that's why I like to have an option "Other" in the poll....
