First listen to Illusions On A Double Dimple. I liked it, though I think it was a bit slim on the ideas in places (but a lot of that moog/organ/guitar prog is), some really nice playing, I even enjoyed the vocals. Less so the spoken word stuff. I reckon MO blow it out of the water, though. Cobham is unstoppable.

A vote for Doug's fave
MO is in my humble opinion one of the pioneers of the fusion sickness called 'all chops and no sauce'.

I'm with the chops and sauceless brigade on this one. Triumverat need to knobble their drummer but its still the Prog album for me. I fear the MOs will get there but hey at least it should be close.

MO always had an atmosphere and structure to the twitchiness that set them apart from the Al Di Meola/solo Bruford calibre of proficient fusion. Also Cobham is one of the greatest drummers EVER.
