Not realy hard, I'd say, it just follows a very simple and basic mathematical formula:
Anything done by Iron Maiden > Anything done by Metallica

Bigger on the inside.

Very tough indeed - I voted for Maiden, but in my mind it was really a tie, as both are among my favourite albums of all time.

The choice would have been much tougher if it was Powerslave instead of Number of the Beast.

Mercyful Fate's "Don't Break The Oath" slays both of them...

Master of Puppets- hugely influential and one of, if not the, greatest trash albums of all time.
Number of the Beast is good, but Powerslave is Maiden's best and most important album.

Hmm...Number of the Beast, but then again, I hate Metallica, so it wasn't exactly the most difficult decision.

Number... is one of my favorite albums, it was the first metal album I ever bought and I still love it to bits. Master is also great but not as great... Rust In Peace pwns it anyway

Two cornerstones of metal, yet Master of Puppets wins here. One of the most influential thrash metal albums ever.
