I actually don't think Abacab is that bad. I've noticed people tend to judge it for what it did to Genesis rather than it's actual music, which I can understand.

Love Beach, just for the fantastic cover.

"So that's it? After 12 years; so long, good luck?"

We Can't Dance, which nearly reaches the 3-star level, as the only of the ones I know. Abacab comes second.

I like St. Anger and Tormato quite a lot, some others aren't that bad either.

I have to go with We Can't Dance since it was my very first taste of Genesis (thank you Dad!)

Tormato which is certainly not a bad album, just not up to what had come before.

As a progressive pop fan, I actually like all of the listed albums to a certain degree. Although from a prog fan point of view, none of these albums live up to their predecessor's progginess, there is still some good to great music on these albums. Maybe not as great as their classics, but in most cases certainly as good as anything else being released during that similar time period.

I agree. For what it is, Abacab isn't that bad.

I was so hoping to see Merci on the list. No vote.

This.

It's funny in a way since I like Merci that I'm always disappointed when it doesn't make "most hated" albums lists. Nor only would I appreciate the chance to defend it, but a part of me would rather things I like be talked about badly than not talked about at all. Really, though it has a bad reputation amognst the realtively few wo are ware of it, I don't really think it deserves that bad reputation. Another Zeuhl album that could have been mentioned in this list is Musique Noise's Fulmines Regularis (I rather like that too) and Troll's Volume 2 (so bad,a volume one wasn't even made that i know of. Has some good stuff, but I think it was considered bad enough not to even seriously be considered for adding to PA).

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Tormato was a bad album for Yes in 70s but for today it's a good album
|
Really don't mind if you sit this one out.

We can't dance, followed by Tormato. Neither of them a bad album in my opinion.

exactly the same idea here. St-Anger is my fav one star album. At least it makes me laugh with that silly tin-can drum sound.
