Wow, Nick, and here I was working with the theory you use oxygen, but it seems like here you breath prog and metal all day long instead!

Good for you, my friend!

Thank you, my great friend!
The last few days have been like beautiful therapy for my ear holes. I feel refreshed having a bit more time off work and absolutely cranking the tunes using awesome HIFI equipment. Glad i have had the time to enjoy this. More to come.
Today so far....

VAST--Music For People
Porcupine Tree--LightBulb Sun (5.1 mix)
Fields Of The Nephilim--Elysuim (Mine and Dave's favourite album of 1990 ;)
Machine Head---The Blackening ( I listened to this at 3am in the morning and that was a big mistake cause I was wired after listening to this incredible powerhouse! Love it!

Hopefully later today...

Iron Maiden---Seventh Son of A Seventh Son

I'm cheatin': right now it's the morning after, so it's gonna be for yesterday (and a busy day it was, so these days it ain't a lot! When I'm not composing I tend to have music playing throughout the entire day...)

Magma - Köhntarkösz
Tangerine Dream - Zeit
lead - music for storms
PC-72 - Paragonzerfall
A Silver Mt. Zion - He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms...
A negative number was raised to a power that is not an integer.

Il Giordino Onirico - Complesso K MMXIII
Ataraxia - Lost Atlantis, Nosce Te Ipsum
Touchstone - Oceans of Time
Cousin Silas - Dronescape 018

Enzo Capuano - Storia Mai Scritta (a vintage Italian classic - thank you Pierre for tracking down the CD of it for me!)

Light Year - Reveal the Fantastic (what a lost female-fronted 70's prog gem, now on CD! Vintage lovers, buy buy buy!!)

Devil Doll - Eliogabulus - for you, Nick and Dave! Both vocally and instrumentally sublime, and I'm sure I'm not imagining the same intensity and sophistication as on that first Banco album?! How does Mr Doctor even begin composing this sort of music?! How does music even sound in his head?!

Petrus Castrus - Mestre
Light Year - Reveal the Fantastic (a gem indeed, a great album Aussie-Byrd-Brother, by the way what's your opinion on the album bellow?)
Porcupine Tree - Voyage 34 - The Complete Trip (It has some mixed opinions on PA, but I really like it. There's some Tangerine Dream influence, specially on the last track)
The Doors - Waiting for the Sun
Supertramp - Even in the Quietest Moments

That Light Year one is pretty cool, eh Mr Meltdowner?! Terrific frantic and tight playing, and that singer is intense - and possibly a little insane! I'm thinking of proposing the band to be added to the Archives?

`Voyage 34' is very good! Looooong clean guitar solos from Wilson when he wasn't afraid to play them that way, lots of atmosphere, and the slowly unwinding droning elecronic later parts are hypnotic beauties! All those early albums are so different to each-other, they're all fascinating!

The whole album is intense and her voice is great combined with the the rest of the instruments, I couldn't stop tapping my feet. Big smile
I saw that they are not on PA too. It's good idea, i'll support it. Smile

I thought the same: he plays the guitar more comfortably on this one.
The guitar riff on the first track reminds me of Another Brick in the Wall Pt.1.
I think it's Porcupine Tree's Zeit: it's a double album and not everyone gets it LOL

Dvorak - Cello Concerto in B minor, Op.104 (Pierre Fournier, Berliner Philharmoniker, George Szell)

Another lost gem in the vast world of classical music !

Also the brilliant:
Schumann - Symphony No.4 In D Minor, Op.120 (Orchestra Mozart, Claudio Abbado)
