Hi folks,
I find this album on web. Very interesting album by valid artist (from Emilia Romagna - Bologna with an interesting musical landscape) never heard.

Why he can't enter in Prog Archives?? I would to propose him as new / artist - band...

DVD CD LP release by Alphataurus next month.

Seems to be an archival release, but don't know for sure...

A beautiful cover, no doubt, would look lovely on vinyl!

A DVD, you say, Mr H? So archival footage perhaps?

I saw these recently to order, but wasn't sure if they were worth it (pretty sure they're DVD-R's?):

- DARWIN LIVE - LIVE IN FRASCATI (LIVE AT THE VILLA TORLONA, FRASCATI, ROMA, ITALY 6/27/11)

OSANNA:

Hi Marco,

yes Maxophone will have a live CD from a Tokyo Show, this will be out
on Jan 14th (next week).

They also work on a new studio Album. A track of this new album can be heard on the live album.

There is not much info about that Alphataurus release. All I could find
is that it will be a DVD with a CD or LP. It will be released by BTF
so it should be a quality issue.

For the ones you listed:

The Banco live ones are most likley Tachika Bootlegs. So they are CDrs
in paper thin bags. These are simply what Tachika could find, so don't expect any Quality recodings.

The Osanna one is a Black Widow release (with MaRaCash). I will order
this one if I can find it for a reasonalbe price. I will give you some
more info when I have it.

The PFM one is another bootleg. But I have heard that it is of very good quality.

Hell yeah!!!!!!!!
I finally ended my modern RPI drought! Well, it's not like there hasn't been a few acts that I've liked, but it's been a while since I last felt like this. Labirinto di Specchi have completely won me over! Damn...... I am still trying to compute, so I'll refrain from describing my thoughts just yet, except to tell you that those piano runs during the long cut sound like cascading waterfalls. Something like a classical post-rock fuelled RPI mimicking the very fabric of dreams.

Hey italian guys!

know anything about Berserk band?

http://www.berserkband.com

debut album's definitely among the bunch of good things that have tickled my ear-buds in 2013

They're Italians but King Crimson's Mastelotto, Jamie Saft and Eivind Aarset are part of the gang as well.

A very fine Album with an excellent mix of modern and 70s sounds.

Also very good to hear Paolo Carelli (Pholas Dactylus) again.

From BTF web site:

The magic of the songs of the historic 1975 album Maxophone lives today in the live entirely recorded in April 2013 at the City Club in Tokyo, at the Italian Progressive Rock Festival.
The Japanese concert was an opportunity to present two new songs: "The Island", the first song written by the band in 1972 and never before released, and "Guardian Angel", a little taste of the new Maxophone album soon to be recorded.
The line up of Maxophone features two historic members of the band Alberto Ravasini (acoustic guitar, keyboards and vocals) and Sergio Lattuada (keyboards and vocals) and three new musicians Marco Croci (bass and vocals), Carlo Monti (drums, percussion, violin) and Marco Tomasini (electric guitar, vocals).
"Live in Tokyo" is the album that will allow all the lovers of progressive music to savor the typical sound of italian progressive rock of the '70s .

...And another album that i'm waiting for as Purgatorio by Metamorfosi...Fresco

hey there!

sometimes i post here stuff about btf releases, since i'm one who works for them and makes album covers.

the alphataurus release is quite odd. the DVD is the pro-filmed version of the well-known live in bloom, plus a documentary about the band history. it will be released as a CD+DVD or LP containing only the 4 CD tracks.

the CD contains 3 live tracks (more than 10 minutes each) plus an edit studio version of one of the songs in AttosecondO (can't remember the name now)

and yes, i did the album artwork for that release :)

i did the same for the new Fabio Zuffanti solo release, which i invite you to listen to in full at this soundcloud page:
https://soundcloud.com/zuffantiprojects/sets/zuffanti-la-quarta-vittima

and then buy on www.btf.it ;)
