^ No problem, done.

I've only marked tracks 5 and 9 as previously unreleased. I think it fits better if we put the album in Compilations.

I need your guidance on this one

Original soundtrack for Tony Palmer's "The Space Movie" 1979 documentary by Mike Oldfield; as a bonus DVD the Director's cut of the movie, restored and (finally) complete edition.

The CD onsists on the un-edited sountrack, movie commentaries and all, including pieces from Oldfield's released Tubular Bells and Hergest Ridge, Ommadawn and "Portsmouth" and also  excerpts from what was Oldfield's then-new album, Incantations. The film also made use of the orchestral arrangements of Oldfield's first two albums, The Orchestral Tubular Bells and notably The Orchestral Hergest Ridge (with the Royal Ph. Orch.), which has never been released.

1 track - running time 78:23
Gonzo multimedia 2015

What do you think, do we include it, and where?
Thanks

^ José, I guess you talk about this CD: http://www.discogs.com/Mike-Oldfield-The-Space-Movie/release/7611587

I think you can add it, Boxsets/Compilations is the proper category.

^ If you'd like to, yes please. Like for most of previous Tull Deluxe Editions Compilations is a good place for this release.

^ This one is a little tricky, because it's so extensive (4 discs) and repetitive that seems pointless to do it the usual way with songs names and durations (these anyway not available online), considering the huge work needed to do it properly.
My suggestion would be to do it in a resumed manner, what do you think?

CD1
1-11 Re-recorded album (Morgan Studios, prev. unreleased)
12-16 5 Original (Monte Carlo) LP tracks remixed (Steven Wilson)
17 "Quiz Kid" Monte Carlo out-take (version 1)

CD2
1-8 Associated recordings (prev. unreleased)
9-19 Flat transfer of original LP Master

DVD1
1-11  TV footage of 1976 London Weekend TV special (Video prev. unavailable)
12-22 TV audio (soundtrack in 96/24 PCM)
23-27 5 Original LP tracks remixed (Steven Wilson) in 96/24 PCM and 5.1

DVD2
1-10 Associated recordings (prev. unreleased) all as in CD2 plus
 "Quiz Kid" (version 1) and
 "Strip Cartoon" (Original Master Mix)
11-21 Flat transfer of original Quad LP Production Master (in 4.0)
22-32 Flat transfer of original LP Master (in 96/24 PCM)

80 page booklet includes an essay by Martin Webb on the preparation
and recording of the album in Brussels and Monte Carlo, the aborted stage musical,
the London Weekend TV special and the 1976 tours.
The booklet also contains a track by track annotation by Ian Anderson, lyrics,
a feature on Ian Anderson and his motorbikes, Dave Gibbons on drawing the LP's
cartoon inner spread and 'From Carmen to Tullman' - The Musical Life of John Glascock,
unseen photos and lots more.
Line-Up:
- Ian Anderson / flute, acoustic guitar, harmonica, electric guitar, percussion, vocals
- Martin Barre / electric guitar
- Barriemore Barlow / drums, percussion
- John Glascock / bass, vocals
- John Evans / piano

Guest musicians:
- David Palmer / orchestral arrangements, orchestra conductor and saxophone solo  on "From A Dead Beat To An Old Greaser" (emulated with the help of Vako Orchestron keyboards)
- Maddy Prior / backing vocals  on "Too Old To Rock 'n' Roll: Too Young To Die"
- Angela Allen / backing vocals on "Crazed Institution" and  "Big Dipper"

^ Thanks, José, I'll use your post and discogs info as a base and add track titles and times.
I bought this box some days ago, but haven't listened/watched it yet.

Titles are necessary IMO because besides surround mixes main features of such releases (at least for me) are rare and unreleased tracks (associated recordings).

Can someone please check this expanded release by CD-Maximum with 2 bonus tracks, of which one is a spectacular remake of "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" 31' long.
My questions: is this pirate or legitimate, and worth to include or not?
Thanks

José, it's this release: http://www.discogs.com/Yes-90125/release/4475570.
Please click "More images", remember this CD design and never add such CD-Maximum releases to PA database. Smile

In short it's pirate. I guess "Journey" was taken from this Wakeman's compilation: http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=20490.

More about CD-Maximum. They released lots of world famous CDs, quite often 2 albums on 1 CD. Somebody told me they were legit according to Russian laws (text in Russian on the backcover reads "For distribution in CIS"), but not legit for international distribution.

Though CD-Maximum had a number of really legal releases, mostly of lesser known bands. "Moonshine" by Polish band Collage is a good example: http://www.discogs.com/Collage-Moonshine/release/7226538

Eugene, please take a look at this special release, although with a new cover I judge it to be a reissue with bonus DVD, so I guess would only deserve a mention and not a new entry

http://www.discogs.com/Locanda-Delle-Fate-Live-In-Bloom-Progvention-Nov-6th-2010/release/4479955

If instead you'd like me to include it on the DVD section just let me know

  HELP Question

http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=450

On the Magenta page we have already 2 separate releases of the Album "Home" (incorrect double entry?)
- The initial 1 CD edition (BTW erroneously referenced to 2005 when I think it's June 2006)
- The simultaneous Special Edition with an identical first CD and a second CD including the "New York Suite"

Meanwhile in Sep 2006 the "New York Suite" was released separately as a mini-album

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=32866

Now in 2009 (and from another label, Tigermoth) we have "The Complete Edition" with "...the tracks re-arranged into its originally intended running order, with all the music from Home and New York Suite back together in chronological sequence."

Question

1.1 This Life 3:20
1.2 Hurt 5:35
1.3 Moving On 6:02
1.4 My Home Town (Far Away) 3:56
1.5 Brave New Land 1:02
1.6 The Journey 6:21
1.7 Towers Of Hope 2:10
1.8 Arrival 10:58
1.9 Home From Home 8:09
2.1 White Lies 8:43
2.2 Demons 5:16
2.3 Truth 10:53
2.4 Morning Sunlight 2:43
2.5 Joe 11:14
2.6 The Dream 1:11
2.7 The Visionary 6:00
2.8 Journey's End 7:41
2.9 The Traveller's Lament 1:15
2.10 Home 4:13

http://https://musicbrainz.org/release/30c3b086-bb0d-4ce7-9af7-8a495bce39b2

http://www.mrsite.co.uk/usersitesv21/magentashopfront.com/wwwroot/page2.htm

http://magenta.bandcamp.com/album/home-the-complete-edition

For the sake of simplicity I think we should rearrange this together with the new inclusion, but need advise how to do it properly - I know it will probably  be you once again, Eugene, to come to my rescue Big smile
(Credits are being worked out, as soon as you point the solution I will for sure be able to post it)

^ Good question, José.

"The Complete Edition" you mention contains the same tracks (except "This Life - Reprise") as "Home + NY Suite" edition (http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=11961), but in different order.

If you agree I'll add "The Complete Edition" info to "Home + NY Suite" page.

^ Trust in your judgement, nothing to oppose (although I confess was thinking of something more radical, if you find the time & disposition we can debate it just for fun) Geek
Thanks
