1. The »boring« and the »genious« TD decades

We are very often surprised how agressive some people argue against the newer TD releases and for the older ones. To make it absolutely clear, there is nothing wrong if someone dislikes the newer stuff. But there is a very simple and very effective solution to solve such »problems«: Just buy what you like!

No one can or will force you to spend your sour earned money on something you feel uncomfortable with. So nobody except you is taking your creditcard out of your briefcase and handles it over to the cashier's desk. It's as simple as that, isn't it?

okay, I don't get the sense of Tangerine Dream saying they're "sucky". They only guide people to keep it quiet if they don't like it. TongueLOL

now, hold on, I never ever said that Ricochet isn't the best album ever (generally, that is). LOL

^^ Read carefully what I had written: "they came close to admitting they might have made awful music Tongue" of course, you may not expect an artist to bash his own work, but their attitude to suggest their fans to "buy whatever they like" is sort of an admission that they might have done "not so good" music Wink

I didn't say Ricochet is the best album (or best TD album) ever... (and you yourself admit that it is Tongue) I made a reference to your nick, which surely reflects your admiration for TD, and still saying that they are "perhaps" the best band in progessive electronic genre!!! Man, look at the other members with band/artist/album name nicks: The Whistler almost adores Tull (represented in his signature), hammill admitted he could never be objective about VdGG (though he's missing from the forum about a year) etc... Why don't you just admit your affiliance with Tangerine Dream ?!?!? LOL TD rules!

what a mixed post it is... in the first part I'm trying to prove TD sucks, and in the second part I say they rock LOLLOLLOL

Listen to Turkish psych/prog; you won't regret:
Baris Manco,Erkin Koray,Cem Karaca,Mogollar,3 Hürel,Selda,Edip Akbayram,Fikret Kizilok,Ersen (and Dadaslar) (but stick with the '70's, and 'early 80's!)

sort of. but it's still an allusion towards the best and not towards saying the worst. Wink

you're still on subtle word plays! Big smile

this way you're gonna have to change your nick to Moondawn, Cyborg, or whatever your favorite Schulze album is Wink

I admit the allusion towards the better side of their music, which they never explicitly admitted anyway! My point was the "sort of" part you also sensed, and I think I proved it in the end Tongue

my offer to send the *.chm file (to whoever wants) is still valid. It includes very interesting remarks on FAQ's, which are missing in the new version of the site as far as I could see...

I am most certainly not. I expressed the two truths I know and believe in...Geek
and just guaranteed to anyone daring enough to follow this long, interesting discussion...what's to be guaranteed.

PM moi with the *chm (how do I operate with it, by the way), with the reminder of what's supposed to be.

And now, should we conclude this side discussion, in order to get back to real statistics?( which in three words, means "T D pawnage". Approve)

that, or simply expect someone else to post their opinion. LOL

P.S.: I noticed I haven't actually voted in this poll (meaning to push the submit button over at the votes). Would it count anymore? LOL
P.S. (one more): I think Ricochet'll stay, despite anything. Wink

upcoming Wink (I cannot send the file via PM. I need your mail address) *.chm file is the sort of help files, found in almost every program. Instead, the sections are web pages, this enables to compile an entire site into one single file.

Hehe... I'm not really sure if it's possible to change it anyway. Thats why I'm here with my own name, that's something wich is the least likely to change through my entire life Big smile (among all my tastes, musical inclinations, favorite bands/albums etc...)

now I leave the room for new votes and ideas....
