What could well happen in 2024 is an electable candidate that is from neither of the two big parties. I think we are getting closer to that possibility.
That would be nice but I think that special interest monies and lobbyists would not be on board as both the current parities share that aspect of monetary support. I feel that the future will see more extreme right wing and left wing leaders in the shape of true socialists or true neo fascists.

I think you just summed up why I am starting to like sleepy joe, often he comes across like a pragmatic realist as opposed to a zealous idealogue.

Who needs 1000 year old trees? Windmill fumes cause cancer. Your dying grandchildren will thank you from their subterranean lairs for the corporate profits made today.

A federal court in Texas yesterday ruled against mandatory mask wearing for pollsters and poll workers at all state polling stations. As the Biden crowd are confirmed mask wearers and Trump's are not, this is the most blatant and public manipulation of voting I've ever seen. Combine that with only one drop box for county, that the state already implemented, and the effect is doubled.

If there was ever any doubt that Republicans love voter suppression, now would be a good time to open some eyes! Not that it wasn't any less obvious in previous elections. The fact that they're doing this in Texas, means Texas is up for grabs and they're desperate. Similar activity, though not on such a grand scale as Texas, is happening in other battleground states, including my own in Pennsylvania where there is a challenge to throw out all mail-in ballots that don't arrive before 8 p.m. on election day even if they were postmarked that day or earlier. In Philadelphia, 42% of first-class mail is taking more than five days to be delivered.

As if gerrymandering and outrageous voter ID requirements weren't enough, they pull this sh*t. The only slight benefit to all this is that it shows how scared they are of losing this one.

Got it. That is wild but I would have liked it better if they did time in Attica.

The following clip sums up exactly my fears concerning the coming election, including the fanfares I already see on these pages about Biden's "certain" victory:

they should be Steve.. for it looks like they will. The 24k dollar question.. how much room did Republican voters have to grow..

More Texas voters have cast ballots in this year’s general elections than in the entirety of the 2016 elections, according to the state’s latest early vote tallies

With four days to go until the Nov. 3 elections and one day of early voting left, more than 9 million Texans have cast their ballots, surpassing the 8,969,226 votes cast four years ago.

The milestone, a remarkable sign of voter enthusiasm in 2020, sets a new record for voting in the Lone Star State. Of the more than 9 million ballots cast, the vast majority — 8,062,615  came from Texans voting early in-person. Another 947,235 people have voted by mail.

that question....how many voters that would support Trump in 2020 didn't vote in 2016???? or.. hahah.. voted for HRC. Intuitively.. I would think it is not a whole lot.

that is the question for we all know Democrats rarely got out to vote in Texas... if as much of the enthusisam.. and increased vote counts are Biden's..  he coulld and likely will win Texas. As I alluded to the other night.. I really can see the story of 2020 being the same, in reverse, of 2016. All thought HRC had it in the bag.. and polls didn't catch just how soft her support really was.. I think the polls might have significantly under modelled Democratic votes are are callng this closer than it really is.. for they rarely do vote in Texas.. and a sudden inrush of Democratic voters would thus destroy polling models which are of course built on past tendencies of voters for their sample sizes

Why does it seem taken for granted that all these votes are mainly democrat?
Surely, Trump supporters are equally fired up.
