While I agree that, unfortunately, alternative energies are nowhere near ready enough to take over oil, off-shore drilling is a political distraction invented by people who don't understand scale.

If you don't visit the cartoon thread:

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I don't know, but it looks like no big deal to me.  The guy opened something up and closed it quickly, it's ridiculous to imply he was "viewing porn" for any time.  I've had people send me bad stuff at work too....you open it, daze momentarily, and close it.  LOL  Then you plot revenge against the friend who sends you that stuff at work!

But this is what passes for journalism these day.  Even lamer is the video, which makes it look like he opens it a second time, when I believe it is simply a replay of the first time.

Exactly.  People are easily manipulated and it's their own faults.  People want to see scandals.  The media just gives them what they want.

The funny thing is this: How many people who regularly view porn (or view it at work) are sitting in judgment of that man right now?

There's a difference between looking at porn and looking at porn at work. As an aside, I never understood why looking at porn at work has been such a big problem. I understand wasting time, but why that? What are you going to do, go jerk off in the bathroom?

And are they all wearing bikinis? I can't tell if two of them actually are (because it doesn't really make sense that there would be a picture with two topless and two not), because if they are then I have to agree they're being a bit ridiculous. Although clearly not paying any attention during a floor session is still kind of a big deal I think.

I wonder how many members of Congress doodle mythical creatures or write "Nancy Bieber" over and over on the back of their spiral notebooks during session.

So you don't find it rather strange that they were wearing those shirts in that specific day? It's like they wanted to say "hey we're white and true American not you brown mexicans"...

Of course I may be exaggerating... after all, those children's father is mexican.... Anyway, that's political correctness for you fans of it (not you specifically).

Old French saying , translated" The cassock does not make the monk!". I mean , really!
Embarrassed It just shows how primitively sensitive some Americans are about themselves, still not quite mature enough to overcome possible innuendo and even provocation by taking a "positive " approach to life and society . The fact that 2 of those kids have "Mexican" blood is enough proof that overreaction is the US national pastime, not baseball!  Wink
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.
