I think I've realised something: The labs that created Mark Zuckerburg realised that their creation couldn't really fool anyone, looked at some of the most obvious errors, and came up with the Jarred Kushner model. Better, but still too plastic, so they've just unleashed their latest model, just about ready to train for 2024: Josh Hawley.

When I first saw this I thought it was going to be captioned "Nancy back at work" or something. Then my eye was drawn to the desk, I thought I saw a pistol, then it hit me and I laughed out loud.

Does anyone know why news channels have been pixelating videos of the Capitol riots for a few days now, essentially preventing anyone on them from being recognised by any members of the public?
Concerning the hunt for those present in the insurrection: Wasn't it some sort of kid's game where the group scatters and hides while one of them covers his or her eyes and counts to 100?

Maybe it's done in Europe, or on Fox News perhaps, but every American station I watch shows their images clearly, without distortion.

Just heard that Trump enjoyed the insurrection on the TV, having a good time.
It seems that he is the prototype of a new breed of politician with figures like Josh Hawley lurking in the wings, learning, waiting, watching, biding their time:

^Yeah, I heard that about Trump too. Today some insiders were saying that without Twitter, he's unwilling to make public appearances in front of the press because he doesn't like being asked questions he doesn't know the answer to and doesn't like questions of things that he's said publicly.
Josh Hawley has made his bed and now he has to sleep in it. Especially after having a fit about the cancelled Simon & Schuster book deal he had; claiming it infringed on his First Amendment rights. This from someone who claims to be "one of the nation's leading constitutional lawyers" and has a J.D. from Yale Law School. I wonder if anyone at Yale is now wondering how this one slipped through without knowing what the First Amendment means.

Maybe a dumb question but were any of the insurrectionists wearing masks to protect them from covid? From all the video and pictures I saw none of them seem to be. Before anyone says something like "duh, of course not" let me say that many conservatives do wear masks but maybe all these guys were too stupid to do that.
