Good hard driving prog rock blues with plenty of jazz sax mixed in to give it an early Chicago, BST, or If  feel
good vocals and bass by Wetton.1971

Love this album buddy. I have a tradition where every time after I run a 42k marathon I play this album to allow me to relax in peace. It's a thing of beauty. Love it. :)

^^^ That's a lot of k's Tongue Really nice album, it only has a couple of filler tracks but once I know when to expect it it's not that bad... they are also easy to spot just by looking at the vinyl LOL
I forgot to add Goblin to my "to check out" list of 2015, it will be tough to come up with this year's list Confused

^^ We are hopeless LOL

Last night:
Rush  - Fly By Night
Led Zeppelin - s/t (First time on vinyl, it feels like the first time everApprove)

I can't handle the vocals, I would listen to them if they were instrumental, definitely

^ Well, to say I 'can handle' Jens vocals is probably not quite correct - should be more like 'I can accept the nonsensical growling of Jens in this amazing music'. I love their grungey, crunching sound, they are all fantastic musicians on their instruments no doubt, and to be honest, no other vocal style would fit properly. The last track on the album I have is called Pitch Black. The vocals are more robotic, or zombie-like, and work much better. The music is amazing. The bass groove KILLS.
I watched a live online thingy with Jens and the drummer Tomas, where they answered questions from fans - one question was 'have you ever thought of doing your albums as instrumentals ?' Jens was like " Then wtf am I gonna do ? ". I also admire the fact these guys don't come across as 'feral' dudes, like many other Extreme Metal acts. Rather 'clean' and focused, transformed into monsters on the stage though
The complexity of their compositions are more than satisfying.
Behold ! The Arctopus are a nuts Prog Extreme band too. And perhaps Gojira, but this is not my preferred genre by any stretch, more a novelty and something unique to me.
