R.I.P. Marie Fredriksson of Roxette. Never bought their albums, but didn't change channel when they were played or shown.
Had no idea Marie had been ill for so long. https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/breaking-roxette-singer-marie-fredriksson-21064382?fbclid=IwAR00LsqV3ozJV5eZITeFnXgLn9IY5Cp0QcXcJzuccUhXkUw4dARqxpphpbw |

Although it happened earlier in the year(March)I only just read yesterday online by accident that Tom Doncourt who was the keyboardist from the classic US prog band Cathedral(stained glass stories) passed away(he was 63). That's one that really went under the radar.

RIP Ram Dass.
Not a musician, but important enough counter cultural celebrity to be mentioned here I think.

Yeah ... one of the sad facts of life ... we will lose a lot of our friends that helped us grow over the years ... and while this is sad in many ways ... I want to look at it as a fresh reminder ... THAT THE INSPIRATION THESE PEOPLE GIVE US WILL LIVE FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS ... AND IT WILL BE APPRECIATED.
With much love and care for the family ... and to RUSH ... I'm pretty sure the other 2 guys are not taking this too well, either. |

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Damn I’m genuinely getting emotional over this one, this has been the first major prog death I’ve been a proper prog fan for. I became a fan just after wetton and squire went. This is surreal and horrible news.
