CTTE--perfect everything--playing, groove, singing, structure, powerful
Supper's Ready---nearly perfect everything---same as above.
Echoes---like most Floyd very good spacey, dreaming meditative sleep inducing.

PinkFloyd is a great group and own many albums but not one of my favs---they seem to play 3 chords over and over again---and blues based prog is not my fav--still a great song.

ADER, Close to the Edge. in my honest opinion, the best song ever made by anyone, PERIOD. This is followed, based on this poll, by Echoes and then Supper's Ready, the former being one of my two all time favorite PF songs (along with all of Shine On You Crazy Diamond).

Love both CttE and Echoes. I'll give Close to the Edge the edge here. Wink

Supper's Ready
Dig me...But don't...Bury me

Definitely Echoes.
...a vigorous circular motion hitherto unknown to the people of this area, but destined
to take the place of the mud shark in your mythology...

Close to the Edge is the pinnacle of Progressive Rock Music. Anything else is second-rate at best. And this is coming from a long-time Genesis and Floyd fan.

Genesis, Supper's Ready.

When he rides, my fears subside.
For darkness turns once more to light.
Through the skies, his white horse flies.
To find a land beyond the night.

I wouldn't seriously imagine a universe in which one had to pick between these three.
I think these polls are all a part of the campiness of what makes this site so much fun.
Are we going to pick Dr. Who's favorite band next?
