Maybe that's why I'm a little lukewarm on it. My two favorites from you, Decease Estates and One in the Flood, are a bit more on the avant side, more or less.
Tony have you heard The Epic? Triple album from Kasami Washington who played on TPAB.

I drove to Cleveland last Sunday to see my friend play viola with the Suburban Orchestra. I usually make it out once per season. It was a pretty decent performance. Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 3:30 pm.
(The auditorium will open for seating beginning at 2:45 pm.)

Leprous are a prog metal band that actually has Old Shred approval (i dunno about newer shred). They are pretty good.
