This in spades. I have 'favourites'.
That's fine.
But just pick one of 'em for this thread.

Yes, just imagine the advertising slogan:
"Progheads - introvert and slightly geeky music afficionados looking for love"
Fixed
"slightly"? Are you sure about that?

One thing I've learned over the years though is that I'm certain of absolutely nothing.

I can't stand prog, personally. I'm just here for the witty banter.

^I've never felt that to be true. Well back when I was 14, I possibly felt that way about Floyd, but nowadays I couldn't name an artist that literally towers above everything else. Maybe in the heat of the moment during a spin of an album I'll go "Oh my sweet ford it doesn't get any better than this!!" and then I move on to a new album and say exactly the same.

^ nice paradoxically self-refuting comment right there. That was witty! Or was it?
For me picking a favorite band is harder than picking a favorite song, favorite album, or even a favorite musician. I guess it's logical since a band includes all those components, thus adding more complexity to the decision.
I'm going with King Crimson.

why does everyone keep assuming that all PA posters are male?
Why do you assume the pair they are talking about are anything a male could grow??
