My immediate thoughts when I read the poll question ; Lips Of Ashes........... ..........now I struggle......... I would say Drive Home in this poll, though there are many more quality ballads in his repertoire...........

To be honest, never thought of Steven Wilson as a master of ballads, but still...
'Drive Home' is great. 'Routine' is very good. Not sure if 'Veneno Para las Hadas' could be called a ballad, but I really like this song with its rainy sound. Well, it's only speaking about his solo-career. If speaking about PT and the rest... that would be kinda more difficult to name only 3 ballads, I think

Like them all. Normally, I would go with Drive Home - but, I feel Happy Returns perfectly concludes HCE. Going with Happy Returns...
