What? And people believe the disinformation and deceptively edited videos of Project Veritas? LOL
Even a broken clock is right twice a day. I saw the tape, no manipulation of it is needed. Now, as a Democrat and Trump hater, I have no beef with CNN or MSNBC doing a Fox and manipulating the news but I'm damn concerned that they got caught as it might put them back into the realm of fair and balanced reporting. Shocked

With the history and track record of Project Veritas, the tape you watched was probably already manipulated. This will make its rounds on right-wing media, give dodoheads like Matt Gaetz and Jim Jordan a crude propaganda talking point, and then it will fizzle out until the next right-wing "outrage" appears. They have an outrage every couple of days anymore. Heaven forbid that they let things calm down or some Fox News watchers might wander off and get exposed to some facts somewhere.
I'm well aware of thier underhanded tricks and have seen probably 20 edited tapes by them. But I believe this one. And CNN is a left wing lapdog so something was bound to come out sooner or later. But as you say, thier credibility is so low that even a real scoop will just be ignored.

Well, let's give it a couple of days and see what happens. Maybe I'm wrong. Right now, only right-wing sources are reporting on it; none of them of any credibility at the moment.
As David pointed out, this is nothing new or suprising. The media has always been biased. In that regard it's not even very news worthy. I think what peaked my interest in this is that a very blasse Dem politician I know was spooked by this. And he doesn't get spooked about anything. I'm starting to wonder if he knows something I don't and won't tell. If there's more to it time will tell I suppose.

I think we all knew that, though I am afraid if I ever try poutine it will kill me.  Not so friendly now, Canada, with my ass on the ground having a coronary.

Congratulations Canada! I haven't been up there in about 20 years, but always enjoyed the couple of trips I took, admittedly only in the Niagara and Toronto areas. I have distant relatives that live in Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Alberta, and B.C.

Well that's just 19 years to long.
Niagara's nice but a huge tourist trap, now Niagara Region (outlaying areas) are absolutely beautiful.
I have family and lived in the GTA (greater Toronto area) for 5 years, I'm now about 1-1/2 hrs NW of it and visit it often (when not in lockdown).
East coast was a home away from home when I was doing the live sound stuff, used to tour there almost very summer, sort of a paid holiday as it was. Northern Alberta is stunning, Banff & Jasper, not so much Edmonton which I lived in for while, more like an American city IMHO. BC is wonderful in all sorts of ways.

Come back Ken, we'll treat you fine as you wine and dine ! Thumbs Up

Might I suggest, depending on the time of year and your interests, the Georgian Bay area, Collingwood, Owen Sound or more along the east coast Tiny Ont.

^I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the suggestions. Somehow I'll have to figure out how to fit Westville, N.S., and High River, Alberta into a trip. The brother of my great-great grandfather is buried in Westville and my great-grandmother is buried in High River. She has a brother buried in Vancouver too.

In case some of you haven't heard by now Derek Chauvin has been found guilty on all three counts including second degree murder. Justice has prevailed.

Biden's first 100 days address to Congress revealed more of the same divides. Nothing surprising except for Republican Tim Scott's later rebuttal claiming that America is not a racist country. How is this still a thing in the year 2021? And do the Repubs actually believe what they are saying?

The amazing thing is that Fox can scramble together 5 black pro Republicans on one of their anti Democrat talking points. They must pay them well.

What's truly hilarious and sad is that Republican politicians are against everything Biden is proposing; however, the majority of American voters approve of nearly everything on Biden's list. And the ones that disapprove wear tinfoil helmets and believe Republican talking points even when they run counter to their own needs. These are the sort of deluded folks who desperately needed health insurance but didn't take advantage of the Affordable Care Act because it was referred to as "Obamacare". You can't make up this sort of abject stupidity.
