I screwed up on the poll, I neglected to add the Prog Folk representative: Jethro Tull's Aqualung. I will replace the Various Artists choice, Odyssey - The Greatest Tale, with Aqualung. Feel like I should change it to multiple votes to make up for the oversight, but won't. For those that voted one can always mention that is the one that you would have voted for in a post (I care more about people's posts anyway).

Really hard not to vote for Red but there's SEBTP. So yeah. Genesis.

Except for IQ and Dream Theatre, all these albums are first-rate in my book. Excellent music.

Of course, Rush's Hemispheres for me. And unlike Manuel, IQ and Dream Theater are my runner ups.

I voted for One Size Fits All. There were others that I dismissed the whole idea of being second rate. I should have read the OP before voting.

Dark Side of the Moon | That's what happens when I don't have my unusual tastes inform the options or have my typical agendas regarding exposure (exposing lesser known music, not so much exposing myself). It's nice to do a poll with various popular choices now and then. Hopefully it doesn't affect my atypical creds. ;) You know more than I do from the poll. I have heard bits of these I think, but I've never heard the Dream Theater, The Road of Bones, Swans, Ghost Reveries or One Size Fits All in full (maybe I have heard the full Zappa, my memory is quite poor). The rest, however, have all been in my collection. I should get more Zappa.

These polls are impossible - these are all excellent albums!
Robert Wyatt's Rock Bottom is particularly special though...

Hmm, tough choice. None of these are all time favourites of mine, but lots of great works nonetheless, and I'd feel compelled to vote for any of the following:
Crime of the Century Red Birds of Fire Ash Ra Tempel One Size Fits All Darwin! K.A. |
Went for Magma in the end since it was the only one not yet voted for of those listed above.

One Size Fits All is a truly great album, so is Over-Nite Sensation. And I think you would really love The Grand Wazoo.

Absolutely Free (I think this album should have first prog album privilege), We´re Only In it for the money, Lumpy Gravy, Uncle Meat, Hot Rats and Bongo Fury are my favourite Zappas. Lumpy and Uncle are quite avantgarde albums.

It's actually a little more than a handful that I have of his. Aside from the Grand Wazoo, I have Absolutely Free, Hot Rats, Weasels Ripped my Flesh, Waka / Jawaka, Imaginary Diseases and The Yellow Shark. Heard some more of his, but those are the only ones in my collection.
I'm not a huge Zappa fan, but I do like plenty of his music (some I love).
